Who we are
Uyai Akwa Ibom Educational Resources is a family-led initiative created by an aunt and niece brought together by a shared passion for celebrating and preserving the vibrant culture of Akwa Ibom. Our mission began with a simple but powerful desire: to showcase the beauty, depth, and uniqueness of our heritage to a global audience.
Recognizing the limited availability of high‑quality learning materials for indigenous languages like Ibibio, we set out to bridge this gap. While major Nigerian languages such as Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo already offer a wide range of relatable and engaging resources, Ibibio and other Akwa Ibom languages remain underrepresented. This inspired us to develop the Ikọ Ibibio series.
Through thoughtfully designed books, flashcards, and educational videos for both children and adults, we aim to make language learning fun, accessible, and culturally enriching. Our goal is to help families, educators, and communities reconnect with and celebrate the indigenous languages and traditions of Akwa Ibom.
