About Us

Welcome to Uyai Akwa Ibom Educational Resources

At Uyai Akwa Ibom Educational Resources, we are a family trio - aunt, uncle, and niece - united by our deep love for our vibrant culture. Our journey began from a burning desire to share the richness of our heritage with the world.
Driven by this passion, we embarked on creating the Ikọ Ibibio series. Our inspiration came from noticing a gap in language resources for children and adults. While languages like Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo had resources featuring relatable characters, Ibibio and other indigenous languages in Akwa Ibom was underrepresented. Determined to change this narrative, we joined forces to craft the Ikọ Ibibio series, aimed at both children and adults, fostering a love for the indigenous languages and culture.

Our mission is to empower individuals, one person at time to foster a deep deeper understanding and appreciation for our language and heritage, thus contributing to the global pursuit of cultural diversity, linguistic sustainability, and inclusive education.
We envision a world where our language, our customs, our food and our people are celebrated globally. That starts with us and with the most foundational aspect of culture - language.
